It is a bit hard to see the size of the bags from this shot taken as we left London, but the cream and blue backpack used by Mr9 was easily carried on his back when he was at day care as a three year old.
We wear our heavy coats on to the plane and each have a silk Onya bag in our pocket to pack the coat in to when we are on board.
When we left Perth each suitcase was 7kg or under, although the Qantas staff insisted that we redistribute some of the extra weight from the parents’ suitcases to the kids’ underweight suitcases.
Our challenge is to either not buy anything on the way, or to pay the hefty cost of mailing it back.
